My Background
I was born in Davanagere district, the heart of Karnataka, and like many little boys, I once dreamed that a hurricane might carry me to another world. In a way, it did—into the world of engineering. My journey began with a B.E. at BIET College, where I grew curious about the deeper insights of engineering. During my free time, I often challenged myself with the “WH” questions—What, Why, and Where—around long-standing real-world problems. This curiosity drove me to pursue an M.Tech at DSCE, Bangalore, and later, a Ph.D. in the forensic domain under the guidance of Dr. Manjunath Aradhya at Jain University.
Bangalore opened countless opportunities for me to explore the research world, where I began investigating solutions to real-time challenges. Alongside my academic journey, my industry experience with HCL and iGate Patni gave me practical exposure, which eventually inspired me to dedicate myself fully to research and teaching. Today, I serve as an Associate Professor & Chairperson in the Department of CSME, SOE, DSU, with a demonstrated record of contributions across academics, research, and industry.
My core research interests include digital image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision, and video analytics. With years of experience and exposure, I felt the need to share my knowledge and insights with others—and that’s how this website came to life.
